Connect With CHS
Colonial High School

As we have just completed week 2 of distance learning, I believe our students and teachers are getting into new daily routines. I know everyone is getting "cabin fever" and they all miss their friends. We miss seeing our Grenadiers everyday too!

Below you will find a short piece on exercise & fitness as a reminder. As able, schedule yourself time to go outside and take a walk or just sit on your porch or in the driveway. You can wave at neighbors who are walking by or just enjoy being outside for a while.

I want to say thank you to all our parents who are working from home and trying to keep your students on task with their virtual learning. THANK YOU!! I know how hard it is for you to balance everything and keep your lives organized. We appreciate all you are doing! The teachers are assigning grades to your students and they will get progress reports in the coming weeks.

As for this week's issue we've included some important reminders, highlights from this past week, and a spotlight on another round of students who have been accepted into colleges or military service. We are so proud of their post-secondary acceptances.

Be well and please remember to follow all precautions for your safety.

It's Great To Be A Grenadier!

Counselor Corner Mondays

Student Fitness . . . Reminder from our Athletics Dept.
These pictures were taken as our boys lacrosse team competed against Freedom just before the spring break and the trailing school closures. While we all abide by the stay-at-home order, hopefully our Grenadiers can find alternative ways to get some exercise in during the week.
Monday's Motivational Moment!
"We're IN THIS Together"
(placed by a stop sign to remind drivers to be kind and patient)
"Drive Like The Police Are Remind You"
(Local neighborhood sign reminding motorists to slow down and remain alert while the students are at home during the COVID-19 shutdown).
Facing no oncoming traffic on a normally busy street with business activity, this jogger passes a yard sign posted to remind people that this too will come to an end.

Have a safe and healthy week Grenadiers. And remember, we all miss you!
