Colonial High School
Dear Mark,

This Monday evening from 6:00pm to 7:30pm is our annual Open House. For those in our school community with a student currently enrolled at Colonial, this is an excellent opportunity for you to meet your student's teachers, explore the classrooms, and learn more about our programs and expectations for the year. We highly encourage your attendance as we know that strong home-school partnerships are vital to ensuring the success of our students. Open House runs for only 90 minutes, but that short time investment will yield benefits for our Grenadier parents & guardians over the rest of the entire school year. If this applies to your family, please make every effort to join us!

As a community reminder, we are trying very hard to increase our PTSA memberships this year. The membership cost is only $5.00 and it requires no personal time commitments. However, a PTSA membership suggests that you are an advocate for Colonial High School and are actively involved in your student's education. If you already have your membership, thank you. If not, please take a moment and signup today.

Starting the school year off reaching for the stars!

Flight Academy Introduction to Space students (main campus) are pictured below working on building a replica of their chosen rocket. Each group had to select a historical rocket, research its impact on the exploration of space, and then build a replica of their chosen rocket. When they are completed with their builds, they will present their rocket information to the class.

Aerospace and Engineering

Students in Ms. Gentry’s Aerospace and Engineering classes completed a STEM challenge to build the tallest tower using only 50 paper cups and 50 craft sticks. The catch? They had to use ALL of the materials.

Campus Safety

Fortify FL App

FortifyFL is a mobile app that allows anyone to anonymously report suspicious activity to school officials and law enforcement agencies. The app was developed after the Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School Public Safety Act was passed in 2018, with input from students at the school. Thank you for installing this app today. Please remind your child that if they should ever see or hear of something suspicious or unusual this school year, please say something to any teacher or staff member right away.
