I hope this edition finds you having enjoyed a wonderful Thanksgiving holiday last month. Now that we have turned into December, we are already down to our last three weeks of instruction for the second quarter, the first semester, and for the calendar year. Progress reports for this second quarter came out last week and are posted on our student information system - Skyward - for Colonial parents/guardians to review with their children. Please do so as soon as possible if you have not already done so. (If you are having trouble with Skyward, please call the school or ask your child to open their laptop and show you their grades.)
The main focus right now is finishing all courses prior to winter break along with our Grenadiers putting forth their best efforts on upcoming assessments. While every school day is important, these next 13 days will be among the most vital of 2023-2024, so please be on time and at school every day.
Our always amazing, and fiercely dedicated, Latinos in Action students have a Toy Drive underway for the holiday season. Below is some information for the community. If you are able to help a child in the hospital with the gift of a toy this season, that would be tremendously appreciated.
As for this issue, we have a included a few Grenadier successes from our first week back since the break. Thank you very much for reading and enjoy the rest of your week.

Eighty-two years ago this coming December 7th is the anniversary of the air raids upon multiple military bases on the island of Oahu, Hawaii. Colonial High School remembers those that were lost on that Sunday morning - an event which brought about the United States entry into World War II.

THE PRICE TAG FOR SUCCESS
We close this week with a short, but powerful reminder for our Grenadiers as we move through the last three weeks of instruction of both the second quarter and first semester. Please make every school day count and never hesitate to ask for help if you need it. It's Great To Be A Grenadier!

Every worthwhile accomplishment
has a price tag attached to it.
The question is always whether you are
willing to pay the price to attain it —
in hard work, sacrifice, patience,
faith, and endurance.
