What's Happening at Colonial Preparatory Academy?
Moon Phases
The Seventh Graders enjoyed diagramming moon phases with Oreos.....yum!

Pajama Party

The First Grade students got a head start on their Winter Break by having a pajama party and a movie.  Of course, they had hot chocolate and cookies.
The Fire Department Visits Colonial Prep
The fire station came in to talk to Kindergarten and First Grade about fire safety. They learned about needing 2 different ways out if there is a fire. They also got to see the fire truck and hear the sirens.

REMINDERS
Cold Weather


Students should come to school dressed in proper clothing. Coats, hats and gloves should be worn to school each day. If your child is not dressed appropriately on cold weather days, he/she will be kept inside for recess. We make every effort to take the students outside.  However, we will stay inside if temperatures are too cold. Please be advised that snow, ice, or other emergencies may require school to be closed.  Phone numbers that are up-to-date will receive a phone call informing them of the school closings. Please make sure the office has an up-to-date phone number so that you receive the call.
Snow Days

 
When Akron Public Schools close, Colonial Prep Academy is automatically closed.  You can view the list of school closings on the following local television stations:  WKYC (NBC), FOX 8, WEWS (ABC), and WOIO (CBS). You can also access information online at the following websites:   www.akronnewsnow.com,  www.newsnet5.com,  www.fox8.com, and  www.wkdd.com. Please be advised that snow, ice, or other emergencies may require school to be closed.  
Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Day

There will be NO SCHOOL from Monday, January 16, 2017 due to the holiday.  School will resume on Tuesday, January 17, 2017.

We are currently enrolling students for the 2016-2017School Year. 
Act fast before all our spots are filled.

To enroll all you need to do is either print out the enrollment forms, fill them out and bring them in or come in and fill out an enrollment form in  our main office.
In addition we need the following items:
  • Birth Certificate
  • Social Security Card
  • Shot Records
  • Proof of Residence
  • Any custodial documents
  • Parent ID
