Collaborative Summer Library Program (CSLP) is thrilled to announce the 2025 Summer Reading Program theme: “Color Our World”! For 2025, we invite you to embark on a journey of art and creativity, celebrating the myriad ways in which art enriches our lives. For this year, we wish to inspire and engage readers of all ages through a diverse array of artistic expressions.

For the upcoming Color Our World Summer Reading Program, we are delighted to present a silent art auction for the Friends of the Conway Public Library.


Here's how you can be a part of it: Purchase a canvas for $5.00 at the library, let your creativity flow, and return your masterpiece by July 31st.


The bidding will start on August 1st, and winners will be announced in mid-August. Your participation in this auction will directly contribute to the park project, a cause that benefits us all.

2025 Summer Reading Program Reading Challenges

June 25th to August 30th

Get ready for an exciting adventure with this year’s summer reading program! Join our reading challenge and unleash your creativity as you color in one paint splat for every 20 minutes you read or listen to a captivating story. Completing a full paint palette, which represents 100 minutes of your reading journey, is a fantastic goal to aim for! Plus, when you take on any reading prompt, you can color in three additional paint splats!


Don’t forget—once you complete a paint palette, a librarian will be thrilled to initial it for you in exchange for a fun prize. And that’s not all! When your sheet is fully colored, you can turn it in for a chance at an amazing grand prize and three raffle tickets! There’s no limit to how many sheets you can fill out, so let your imagination soar and dive into the world of reading this summer! Join us and make every minute count!

Kickoff Celebration Program: June 25th

Theater Improv

If you are age 10 or older and love acting, or have always wondered how to develop theater skills, this is a great free opportunity for you! Join Andrew Silver of the Silver Circus! Theater Improv has long been considered one of the essential elements of many an actor's toolkit.


In this workshop, students will learn many of the fundamentals of improv theater. They will learn to listen, build on each other’s ideas, and contribute in a group. They will grow their imagination and creativity, and have a blast doing it. Throughout the workshop, they will be taking part in many improv games, which will allow the students to hone and develop their performance skills while engaging in fun team-building exercises.


Stick around for Andrew's hilariously fun performance for the community to enjoy right after the workshop. It is helpful to know if you will be attending this workshop.

Tin Mountain: Camo and Colors

Join a knowledgeable naturalist from the Tin Mountain Conservation Center for an engaging exploration of animal mounts and furs. Participants will have the chance to dive into the fascinating world of camouflage by enjoying a captivating story about animals that expertly blend into their surroundings.


Children will unleash their creativity by designing their very own camouflage insects, using various materials to mimic natural patterns and colors. Once complete, they'll hide their creations and challenge fellow participants to find them—an exciting way to demonstrate the art of camouflage!


This enriching experience is entirely free and designed for families, offering an excellent opportunity to learn, create, and connect with nature together. Don't miss out on this fun-filled event!

Get cozy for Pajama Story Time! Join us on the second Thursday of each month from 6:00 to 7:00 p.m. Children are invited to wear their favorite pajamas and bring a stuffed friend or comfort item as we share bedtime stories, sing fun songs, and enjoy simple nighttime-themed activities. It’s the perfect way to end your day with a little magic and a lot of imagination!

Solar Dynamics Observatory

Check off one of your Summer Reading Challenges by attending this fun event and learning all about our Sun. Join Marc Stowbridge in the Library Park from 12:00 pm to 1:00 pm to safely view the Sun's eruptions, features, and sun spots through two telescopes, the Hydrogen Alpha & the White Light. This event is appropriate for ALL AGES. Don't miss it!

Marc is a member & past president of the New Hampshire Astronomical Society, and a NASA/JPL volunteer educator through the Solar System Ambassador Program, bringing his extensive knowledge and passion for astronomy to the event.

The Art of Woven Mandalas

Learn the art of weaving mandalas with Whitney Pray! Whitney learned this traditional craft of the Huichol people of Mexico over a decade ago, and it has since become a lifelong hobby—one she enjoys sharing with others.


In this workshop, Whitney will guide participants through weaving a basic mandala, progressing toward more intricate designs based on participant interest. If you enjoy learning new hands-on crafts, try this meditative, creative, and fun way to explore color. It also makes a great gift! Ages 7 and up. All materials included.

Yoga in the Park

Experience the rejuvenating benefits of Yoga in the Park, on Saturdays for the month of July, at 11:00 a.m.! Join Dixie Lea for an uplifting hour of yoga in the beautiful library park. This event is designed to be inclusive and welcoming to all ages. Enjoy the fresh air and sunshine as you stretch and relax in a friendly community setting. 


Don’t forget to bring your towel, mat, and water to stay refreshed. Your support through donations is greatly appreciated and helps keep this wonderful event going. We can't wait to see you there!

This is a great time to get outside and enjoy all manner of things, from gardening, porch sitting, canoeing, hiking, walking, etc. Also, keep reading during these long, sun-filled days.


We have a great collection of gardening books, cooking books, adventure stories, climbing experiences, and much, much more. We have Playaways (Portable Audiobook Device), and the Libby app can help you get some reading done by listening to a story.

Conway Public Library


We are thrilled to announce that a new season pass and our existing passes will be available again throughout the new year, thanks to the Conway Public Library Friends of the Library! If you would like to learn more about the new passes, you can visit our website for the qualifications.


These passes provide incredible opportunities for library cardholders to explore the beautiful trails, great art collections, and fun for all seasons at no cost or a discount on regular prices. 


To qualify for the pass, you need only an active library card in good standing. Since our passes are highly sought after, we encourage you to check their availability. For inquiries and to find out if the pass is available, please contact us at 603.447.5552 or come by for a visit.

Northern New Hampshire Library Cooperative Common Borrower Card


Your Conway Public Library card now grants you access to materials at the Ossipee, Jackson, Madison, and Cook Memorial (Tamworth) Libraries. Present your Conway library card to borrow items at any NNHLC library, or browse our shared catalog to request items be transferred to Conway for convenient pick-up.

 Library cards are not required for admittance to programs, use of public access computers, or to borrow the Believe in Books Foundation Red Bags for children.
