Looking forward to seeing you this Saturday, September 11th, starting at the Homestead High School tennis courts. With 300 runners, 100 volunteers, 21 sponsors--this is going to be a big, colorful party!
Mark Baden, WISN Chief Meteorologist and Color Run Master of Ceremonies, reports "The weather for the Color Run looks nice and sunny…and hot. At least there will be a nice breeze. Temperatures will be in the mid to upper 80s. Stay hydrated!" There will be a sprinkler station at the start (color sticks better to wet skin!) and three spots throughout the course to grab water.
Plan to arrive a little early. At 3:30 we will start with a moment of silence in acknowledgement of the 9/11 anniversary and Patriot Day.
Then, DJ Spencer Koenig and talented MTSD students will get you pumped up and ready to rock your race when Superintendent Matt Joynt starts runners off in waves. Along the route smile for talented photographer Kristie Zach - she's agreed to capture the fun.
