November is one of my favorite months, as it brings a celebration of the bountiful harvest, a celebration of agriculture and gratitude for the many hands that play a role in putting food on the table.

At the Colorado Department of Agriculture, another November tradition is the annual Colorado Uncorked event. This month our diverse teams are also busy with brand inspections, meeting with our council on blockchain technology and performing increased inspections on wild game meat processors.

We're also bolstering work on our mental outreach initiative . Through collaborations with the Colorado Department of Human Services, Colorado Crisis Services, CoBank and many more supporters we are working to expand resources throughout rural Colorado and destigmatize the conversation around mental health. Stay tuned for more information coming soon.

As always, thanks to the 300 + skilled CDA employees, the farmers and ranchers of our Ag Commission and the volunteers of all our boards and commissions for all the work they do on behalf of the agriculture industry and for the people of Colorado. And of course our many thanks to you for supporting Colorado agriculture as we celebrate the bounty agriculture offers us. If I don't see you before then, have a wonderful Thanksgiving - and remember to thank a farmer!
