The Steamboat Tennis and Pickleball Complex is hard at work alongside Yampa Valley Gives, to gear up for Colorado Gives Day, Tuesday, December 9, starting with Giving Tuesday, December 2. Yampa Valley Gives strives to widen the reach of the ColoradoGives program in an effort to make a difference for nonprofits in the Steamboat community and make it easier for donors to “Give where they live.”
The Steamboat Tennis and Pickleball Complex needs your support now more than ever to help us keep prices affordable for pickleball and tennis, offer subsidized court time to underserved youth, participate in youth outreach programs, coach student athletes and more. Please remember, we are a public, nonprofit organization, currently paying down a $5M loan on the Pickleball Center, and $800K away from our fundraising goal to fully renovate the Tennis Center!
In addition to participating in Yampa Valley/Colorado Gives Day, the Steamboat Springs Tennis and Pickleball Complex has a simultaneous campaign running, Courting Love, to finish the Tennis Center renovation, complete with a $100K year-end, double-your-impact "Match." Thanks to anonymous donors, the Courting Love "Match" means that every dollar donated to Courting Love will be instantly doubled through the end of the year!
The Tennis Center reopened its doors in November after months of renovations that included replacing the exterior membrane and insulation, updating lighting, and resurfacing and repainting indoor tennis courts. The full renovation is 75% complete, and within $800K of the approximate $2.8M total budget needed to fully renovate the Tennis Center, with only the renovation of the Welcome Center outstanding.
How to give? For those interested in supporting the Steamboat Springs Tennis and Pickleball Complex as a whole, consider donating via the Yampa Valley/Colorado Gives Day campaign. If so inclined, Donors may earmark their donation to Tennis, Pickleball, or Youth Programming specifically. Otherwise, donations will go into a general fund.
For those interested in supporting the year-end “Match” to refresh the Tennis Center, consider donating to the Courting Love campaign.
The Steamboat Tennis and Pickleball Complex is operated by the 501(c)(3) nonprofit Court Sports for Life Foundation and donations are tax-deductible. Colorado income taxpayers are also eligible for up to a 25% state income tax credit through the Colorado Enterprise Zone program. To double your impact through the 2X Holiday Match, click below.
