Thank you for your commitment to our communities.

As the world navigates the COVID-19 emergency, we know that you are on the front lines of serving and supporting our community. Thank you for your hard work and dedication during this time.

Linked below are some resources that you may find helpful for your organization as we adapt to the changes and new needs you are likely encountering every day, including a breakdown of the COVID-19 relief bill.

COVID-19 News: Thank you to all of our Members who supported advocacy efforts related to the COVID-19 Relief Bill.

COVID-19 State Resources: The Colorado NAHRO Board of Directors has been dedicated and focused in their efforts over the past few weeks to communicate the needs of the affordable housing industry to local and state officials on behalf of our Members, and this effort will continue in the coming weeks.

COVID-19 National Resources: The Colorado NAHRO and Mountain Plains NAHRO Boards of Directors were active participants in NAHRO's Virtual Hill Day this week, communicating regional priorities and specific COVID-19 needs to elected officials.

We will continue to update the Colorado NAHRO website homepage with additional resources as they become available. If there are additional resources that you would find helpful during this time, please reply to this email and let us know, and we will do our best to connect you.
We are excited to share that we have been able to reschedule our annual conference to June 16-19, 2020. As a result of this change, we will be combining the Maintenance and Management Conferences into one inclusive conference experience!

If you had already registered for the conference, you don't need to do anything to update your registration for the new dates! Please note the following:

  • Maintenance Conference registrations will be moved to the new conference format.
  • If you registered for both the Maintenance + Management Conference you will be automatically refunded for the Maintenance Conference in the coming days.
  • If you registered for a Single Day Maintenance conference, please update your conference registration as necessary below.
  • Be sure to update your hotel reservation by clicking here.

If you have already registered for the conference and you need to adjust your conference registration (change the registration type and/or cancel), please follow the following directions:

  • Click here and you'll be directed to enter your email and confirmation number (which was emailed to you when you registered).
  • Click "Modify" on the confirmation page, and adjust your reservation accordingly.

The new conference schedule will be released as soon as we have it available. To plan your attendance, we will have the golf tournament and welcome reception on 6/16, two full days of networking and educational programs on 6/17 and 6/18, and a closing session on the morning of 6/19. This is essentially the same format that was previously planned for the Management Conference.

We are excited to bring everyone together for a few days of networking and education in Vail, Colorado! If you have any questions or need additional assistance, please email brea@conahro.org.
Deadline Extended: 2020 What Home Means to Me Poster Contest
As part of the 2020 Housing America campaign, NAHRO is holding a poster contest for children associated with affordable housing and community development programs owned or administered by national NAHRO member agencies (like us here at Colorado NAHRO!).

Entries must be received by June 1.
If you have found a unique way to promote this contest as we "stay at home", or other ways you are planning to engage your communities with this contest, please let us know so we can share those ideas with others!
Deadline Extended: Apply by May 15!

The Colorado NAHRO Housing with a Heart Awards give recognition to the outstanding places, people and programs affiliated with Colorado NAHRO members. The awards recognize best practices among housing, redevelopment and community agencies and provide a resource bank of information for NAHRO members.

You've undoubtedly witnessed some of your people, partners and organizations at their best over the past few weeks, and we encourage you to spend a few moments to nominate these deserving efforts.

Don't have time to develop a nomination? Email brea@conahro.org with a few brief thoughts about who you'd like to nominate and why, and we'll do our best to take it from there!
