What did you do or say this week in the confines of your own home, or in private, that you would be ashamed for your church family or friends to know? If we’re honest, there are many things we do or say that we don’t want others to know. Yet, what we do in private is a better reflection of who we are than what we do in public. Sadly, we often fall short of compassion, humility, forgiveness, and wisdom. In his letter to the Colossians, Paul teaches believers the importance of living for Christ in their households. God transforms us from the inside out, and the first people to notice a difference should be our family. If this is discouraging to you, you’re not alone. Many of us are painfully aware of our sins in marriage and motherhood. Thankfully, we can talk to God anytime and anywhere about what’s going on inside our homes. He gives more grace to help us in our time of need.
