Years ago, in great wisdom, boldness and discernment of God’s Spirit, this church began a sacred ministry though our Columbarium. In this special place, we celebrate the lives of all people in two primary ways. Memorial plaques are simple displays of the friends of faith who have gone on before us into grace and peace unending. Niches are where the ashes of our beloveds are laid to rest in the hope of God and the on-going care of God’s church. We are in the process of expanding our Columbarium with more memorial plaques and more niches as this ministry continues to grow. We invite you to consider these options at your convenience or need. Like the very presence and love of God, we of course are thrilled to include those who are not members of our congregation. Tracy Douthitt (tracy@secondb.org) in our finance office or anyone on our team would be honored to meet with you regarding your arrangements and desires to honor our loved ones.
These are our friends through Cooperative Baptist Fellowship and our bunk bed project from 2019. We will continue construction on hospitality space for those seeking shelter and to enjoy community ministry with our sister church.
Cost is $100 per adult or $50 per student plus meals.
Do you have one Sunday per month to help pass out worship guides and pass an offering plate?
We need people to serve during 8:30 am or 10:45 am oncea month.
