- If You See Something, Say Something. If You See A Moose, For Example, From Your Deck, And Notice A Dog Walker Approaching, Give Them A Heads Up.
- Female Moose Are Highly Aggressive While Protecting Their Young!

Pike Bounty
Get Paid To Fish!
|
We will, as in years past, be continuing our "GET PAID TO FISH" program! A twenty dollar bounty will be paid for each pike removed from our lake. If caught while our office is closed please remember to wrap in plastic, and freeze, until you are able to bring by and collect your bounty. Leaving outside in a bucket will draw bears. Fresh or frozen the reward is still $20.
If you're wondering why pike? According to CPW, northern pike are a predatory species that can be harmful to trout fisheries. CPW is also concerned that if northern pike reached a critical habitat along the Colorado River, they would prey on the state's endangered native fishes.

PLEASE LOOK AT YOUR TREES NOW! DON'T WAIT TILL ITS TO LATE
Owners Regs Article XXIII. Trees Section 23.01
1. On a regular and continuous basis, owners are required to remove dead, diseased, dying, downed trees, shrub or slash from their lots.
Please address any trees before Slash and Trash (It could save you a few dollars)
Please see Contractors List under Misc. on the Columbine Lake website for Tree services.
CLCC is not responsible for easement trees, these are still property owners responsibility.

Fire Pit And Protocol
We all know how a calm afternoon can turn suddenly, bringing with it high winds from every direction.
It's fast approaching that time of year. We need utmost compliance with fire regulations. Just one spark can lead to disaster. Remember these regulations have been put into place for your safety and the safety of your personal property.
Please be advised:
- No Fireworks, sparklers, tiki torches, or open flames.
- No slash or building material to be piled or barrel burned.
- CLCC has the right to enforce fire bands apart from town or county.
- Fire pits must be within the approved regulations. See the link below for specifics on your fire pit.
-
Be sure to have direct access to water in order to extinguish it completely, and never leave a fire unattended.
- Please be sure to make your friends, family, and renters aware of these regulations!

ARC Permits
Please submit the appropriate ARC permit for your project through AppFolio when starting any exterior projects in the CLCC community. Once your permit has been received in AppFolio it gets approved by the ARC committee. If and when your permit is approved you will notice a bill applied to your AppFolio account for the appropriate deposit and fees pertaining to your project. Please do not pay any fees or deposits in advance until they are posted on AppFolio. Once payment is received online, we will send the official CLCC approval letter to be shared with Grand County or other entities.
Once you have paid and you have received your approval letter you MUST pick up your permit at the office before you to start work. The permit must be clearly, and visibly posted on the homeowner’s property during the project and until the final inspection is completed. After the final inspection is completed, deposits will be returned. Thank you!

Weed Warriors Need Your Help!
We are beginning to see vegetation around the neighborhood! We are in need of volunteers to adopt small sections of roads and community property to pull noxious weeds and keep Columbine Lake beautiful. Many hands make light work! We will have a few meet ups over the summer to tackle any areas which need extra attention. Thank you in advance for helping our community!

OHV Rules and Regulations
If you have ATVs or have guests or renters with access to them please familiarize yourself with the CLCC Off-Highway Vehicles (OHV) regulations for use on our roads (Article XII of our Owners Regulations). Key points include:
* No child under the age of 10 may drive an OHV
* Attention owners of short-term rental properties! OHV use on CLCC roads is prohibited. OHVs must stay trailered while on CL property. It is the owner's responsibility to notify all renters of this policy.
* Drivers over the age of 10 must have a valid driver’s license OR be accompanied by a person with a valid driver’s license
* OHVs are to be used only to travel to and from a place or activity. Circling around the lake and neighborhoods and “joy-riding” is prohibited!

Remember to Leash Up Your Pup
All animals are required to be on a physical leash or controlled by an electronic leash at all times within CLCC. This includes all roads, community property and private property other than belonging to the animal owner. The only exception to this is while dogs swim in the lake, provided the animal is under immediate control by it's owner. We all think we know our pets, but remember, an uncontrolled animal that does physical harm to another person or pet is always held responsible.
Be sure to make all your guests aware of this policy.

Road Work To Begin In May
Our community roads will be bladed, as they are annually, due to winter wear and tear. Road grading will begin on Tuesday, May 13th. Please remember to have all vehicles and other obstacles clear of the roads while work is in progress. Magnesium Chloride will be applied following grading to stabilize the base and control dust. As always, use caution while driving on the roads while work is being completed.
Thank You !
