Governor Abbott Listens to Comal ISD Teachers
A week before school began, seven Comal ISD teachers sat down with Governor Greg Abbott for one-on-one roundtable discussions about education issues including teacher pay, early education, special education and school finance.

“It was a privilege for Comal ISD to be selected as one of three districts in the state which the governor will visit,” said Superintendent Andrew Kim, who has worked with the governor at the state level on behalf of teachers, students and parents. “This further showcased the leadership of our district by featuring just a few of our outstanding teachers who advocated for their profession and for students across the state. I am honored to be a part of their team. The governor left with better understanding of what today’s teachers face.”

Our new motto is “Tradition. Performance. Opportunity.” These three words perfectly describe our extracurricular programs.

We honor our traditions founded on teamwork, discipline and competition as we enthusiastically cheer for our students during their performances on the field, on the stage or in the classroom, and we continue to provide each student opportunities to find a passion, meet a goal and fulfill a dream.

Come see the results of our students' hard work as they perform.
