We are now "In the Loop"!
A hearing loop for hearing aid and cochlear implant users has been installed in the main sanctuary. Loop listeners are available for those without a compatible hearing device.

What is a hearing loop and how does it work?
Hearing loops allow people who wear hearing aids to directly receive the sound from the Church's PA system in their own hearing aids without having to pick up a separate listening device.

Do you use hearing aids or a cochlear implant?
If you wear hearing instruments you will need to find out if your hearing aids or CI have this wireless receiver called a T-coil or telecoil built in, in order to benefit from the hearing loop in our church. Pushing a button on a hearing aid accesses the T-coil program. This T-coil program has to be activated by your audiologist. Talk to your audiologist to find out if your instruments can have both a T (no background noise pick up) and an MT program (blended micro-phone & T-coil program) for improved hearing at church.

The hearing loop was provided for by generous parishioners. If you are interested in making a gift to the Hearing Loop fund please contact Laurie at Laurie@csmsg.org or 314.721.1502.

The Gospel According to Downton Abbey: Looking for God in a PBS Mega-hit
4 PM, The Great Hall
Join us for an afternoon of reflection and analysis with the Rev. Quinn Fox as we revisit scenes and themes of religion and the church that are present, implicit and conspicuously absent from life in the House of Grantham at Downton Abbey.
Downton Abbey, the Emmy┬« and Golden Globe┬« Award-winning drama is, by all accounts, an international television phenomenon. Six seasons, each one setting a new record for total viewers on the way to becoming the most-watched series in the 46-year history of Public Television, left millions wanting more. Rumors of a movie version sequel abound. The fictional drama that depicts life at an aristocratic country manor in post-Edwardian England provided a compellingly authentic portrait of the Crawley family and their servants--with occasional glimpses and insights into their religious lives and worldview. Looking at the series through the lens of the theology of culture affords an opportunity to consider this popular phenomenon from the perspective of faith and the Christian worldview.

Sunday, February 19 Guest Preacher: The Rev. Quinn Fox has served since July 2011 as associate pastor at the National Presbyterian Church in Washington DC, where he is responsible for discipleship and educational ministries. He is also the Vice-Moderator of National Capital Presbytery, the governing body for over 100 Presbyterian Church (USA) congregations in Washington, DC, Northern Virginia and Southern Maryland.
