Comcast Replaces Hosted Exchange Email Platform
with Microsoft Office 365
Comcast Business Customers - did you receive the letter below regarding your email? Comcast is migrating to Office 365 from hosted Exchange email. Although much of the process should be seamless to your business, you are required to then access your email from a new location and all of your emails will be migrated to a new Cloud Solution through Comcast.
What you need to know
You will not be able to add anyone to Exchange email for 48 hours prior to the migration and will access your email through Comcast's Cloud Solutions Marketplace once the migration is completed. The primary email address associated with your account will be the point of contact for the transition.
How do I benefit?
Office 365 is the latest version of email. It is easily upgradeable to full online and desktop versions of Microsoft Office 365. Microsoft Office 365 is built for reliability, availability, and performance, with automatic backups and disaster-recovery protection built in, so you have peace of mind that Microsoft is hosting your email.
I don't want to migrate to Office 365, what now?
Customers will be given the opportunity to download a .pst file with their email data. This will enable them to take their emails, directories, calendar and contact list to another email provider if you so choose.
Not sure what to do next?
Give Friendly Computers a call and we will not only help determine that primary point of contact and assess your email hosting for optimal migration results, we can also help you set up your .pst files with a new option should you chose not to migrate to Office 365 through Comcast's automated migration process. Even if you plan to migrate, we can help you with installation and configuration of Office 365 in your office and guide you through the migration process.
