Naramata Centre 70th Anniversary Celebrations
"For all that has been, thanks. For all that is to come, yes!"
                                                                                      Dag Hammarskjold

We invite you to join us Saturday, June 23, to celebrate and give thanks as we mark the Centre's 70th anniversary and say "yes" to another 70 years to come! See the schedule below for the full day of activities, which includes our annual general meeting (AGM).

Come for the day or stay for the weekend!  Invite your family and Naramata friends to come, too!

Please let us know you are coming for the celebration by  registering here
  • If just attending for the day, please register as staying off site.
  • If staying overnight please note that, while spring reservations usually require a stay of three-or-more nights, for this weekend you can choose to stay for one, two, or more nights, as your schedule permits.

Volunteers Needed!
We would appreciate your help if you are interested in volunteering. Find ways to get involved and sign up here!

Bring Your Memorabilia
As part of our celebrations, we will have a display with memories of each decade since the 1940s. Do you have a Naramata t-shirt that you loved, items from Winter Session or Summer Staff to display? Other favourite mementos to share? Bring them along ... and take them home at the end of the day!

Share Your Naramata Centre Photos
Our celebration would not be complete without a 70th anniversary slide-show of happy times and experiences. What was your favorite "Naramata Centre moment?" Contribute your photos by emailing them  to  Jane Sanden (cjsanden@gmail.com), so she can add them to the presentation.

Winter Session "Redux" ("brought back, restored") July 21-28
Attend the Winter Session Redux program for an opportunity to relive some of the Winter Session experience, or to try it for the first time! Each day for five days you will experience a three-hour session of topics similar to those of a typical Winter Session.

Read more info and/or book this program and your accommodations  here.

Summer Throwback - July 21-28
Want to relive some of your past Naramata Centre summer  experiences?
This week Summer Staff alumni will facilitate community activities during the week for all on site who wish to participate.

Come for an opportunity to enjoy some familiar summer experiences from previous years or try some new ones! Book your program and accommodations  here.

Summer Staff and Winter Session reunions
Experience how old friends become new again, and years melt away at a winter session or summer staff reunion. In honour of the 70th anniversary, we would like to offer Winter Session and Summer Staff groups this opportunity.

We have designated two summer long weekends (Canada Day and Labour Day) to allow reunion groups the opportunity to gather for a shorter (3-night) stay, as well as the opportunity to re-live old memories by staying in Alberta Hall.

If you would like to plan a get-together for your Summer Staff cohorts or Winter Session gang, check out the template for planning and executing such events. You can tailor it to your liking, but it will give you a place to start and provide tips along the way.   Read more here  and get started today. (Ignore the highlighted sentence about booking in February!)

We hope to see you this Spring, Summer or Fall:
  • June 23 for our 70th anniversary celebrations.
  • July 21-28 for community activities and/or a program organized by past Summer Staff and Winter Session participants.
  • The Canada Day or Labor Day weekends for a reunion that you organize with your cohort of Summer Staff or Winter Session friends.
  • Or at another time this spring, summer or fall!
During the  summer w e will offer community activities related to our 70th anniversary each week. So come for a week and enjoy!
