Public Service Announcement: All Library Parking Areas Open!

The McMahon Wintonbury Library parking lot is now open. Landscaping and other site work will continue throughout the fall, which may impact some parking spaces. Thank you to the Blue Hills Fire Department for their generosity and partnership throughout this process. For the shortest distance between library services and parking, accessible spaces are located directly outside the parking lot entrance at McMahon Wintonbury Library.

The Prosser Library parking garage is open. Handicap-accessible parking is available in the following locations:

-in front of Prosser Library along Tunxis Avenue

-in designated spaces in the parking lot at the base of the bridge

-in the parking garage

Please note that solar panel installation is underway. Equipment associated with this project may be visible on-site near the parking garage. Thank you for your patience and understanding as these improvements continue. We appreciate your cooperation!

November is Native American Heritage Month

Celebrate Native American Heritage Month with BPL! November offers an opportunity to specifically highlight the contributions, achievements, sacrifices, and cultural and historical legacy of the original inhabitants of what is now the United States and their descendants: the American Indian and Alaska Native people.

We are proud to feature storyteller, educator, and author Wunneanatsu Lamb-Cason (Schaghticoke/HoChunk) for a storytelling program for all ages. Wunneanatsu will share Indigenous stories, her recent book Grandmother Moon, and discuss the importance of traditional storytelling as a way of preserving culture and living history.

We’ve got programs and materials for all ages, and we hope you can join us! Register here:
