Driving Miss Daisy Opening Night Fundraiser

Sparks fly in this groundbreaking Pulitzer Prize winning story by Georgia native, Alfred Uhry, about a decades long relationship between a strong-willed, well-to-do Jewish woman and her black chauffeur in the Jim Crow south.

Join the Savannah Repertory Theatre at their opening night charity fundraiser for Hospice Savannah on Friday, September 27. The play begins at 8:00 p.m. and the theater is located at 980 Industry Drive, just off E. Lathrop Ave. between Louisville Rd. and W. Bay St. 40% of ticket sales benefit our life enriching programs and services.
An Increase In Care

Hurricane Dorian Closes Hospice House

Our dedicated staff are (unfortunately!) getting rather adept at preparing for impending hurricanes. Prior to Hurricane Dorian they checked in with each homecare patient before several employees evacuated to Metter with four patients from Hospice House. Here are CEO Dr. Kathleen Benton's three children spending time with one of them!
Yoga Relay To Help Caregivers
Kate Doran, owner of  Savannah Power Yoga and SPRY Mind & Body is again raising funds for our Edel Caregiver Insitute. The 4th Annual Yoga Relay and Silent Auction to support family caregivers is on Friday, September 20 at  Service Brewing Company.  This fun event is for folks of all fitness levels (truly!) and full details are available at this link.

Caregiver Support in Effingham
If you care for a loved one with dementia or another progressive illness or disability, we imagine you sometimes feel tired, overwhelmed or exasperated. Edel Caregiver Institute coordinator Jill is here to listen and to provide practical, helpful support.  Now she's available to meet with caregivers at the United Way Service Center in Rincon on the second and third Thursday of each month. Contact Jill at 912-629-1331 for more information or to schedule an office appointment. Help is always free of charge.
A Beautiful Way to Honor Loved Ones

Hospice Savannah's tribute program is one way of remembering a loved one while supporting others who may need our care. Tribute gifts of engraved brass leaves adorn Trees of Remembrance at Hospice House and at the Demere Center for Living, while tribute gifts of etched bricks line our walkways at both locations. Simply call our Foundation at 912.629.1055 or make your gift securely at this link.

Your donation of a commemorative tribute ensures a family like yours will benefit from the healing arts of story, music or massage therapy, provides education and support to a caregiver, or gives compassion and care to the bereaved from a Full Circle grief counselor. Your gift makes a difference.
One More Time...

Please plan to join our celebration on September 25th... Watch as Dr. Benton tells you more!
