The Boards of Laity of the North and South Georgia Conferences of The United Methodist Church invite you to join in a daily devotional this Lenten season. They have invited United Methodist clergy and laity from across Georgia to contribute. This laity-led initiative encourages reflection, repentance, and spiritual renewal by slowing down and connecting with God’s Word. This season helps us to remember Christ’s sacrifice on the Cross and reflect on how His teachings guide us toward holiness. May these next 40 days bring deep transformation to our hearts!

Easter Lilies

Easter lilies will be used to decorate the sanctuary for Easter Sunday. You may order a lily "In Memory" or "In Honor" of a special person. Please fill out the Easter Lilies form found in the Narthex or click on the link for the form. Complete the form along with your check or payment. The cost is $15.00 per lily. Make your check payable to Central UMC or you may use Cash App or text your payment and earmark it, "Easter Lilies". Forms may be place in the offering plate or sent to the church office; scherrie.simon@centralumcatl.org

The deadline to order lilies is Tuesday, April 8th.

Central UMC Green Team Attends

Green Summit 2025

Several members of our Central-UMC Green Team attended GIPL’s Green Summit 2025, held at Northside UMC in Atlanta. This year’s theme, “Seeding Life,” set the stage for an inspiring event featuring keynote speaker Rev. Lennox Yearwood Jr., a renowned environmental activist.

Rev. Yearwood serves as the President & CEO of Hip Hop Caucus, a national nonprofit and nonpartisan organization that has spent 20 years advancing civil and human rights through hip-hop culture.

His powerful call to action resonated with an audience committed to protecting our planet. With passion and purpose, he planted seeds of environmental and social justice, equipping attendees with the tools needed to bring meaningful change to their communities.
