Wow! Who knew there's a backstory to Pentecost and a pretty cool one at that! Click here to hear all about it! Come Holy Spirit, Come! Find this weekend's homilies / Mass recordings at saintdavidmedia.com.
WHEN DOES EASTER REALLY END?

Did you know that in the traditional form of the Roman rite, Easter is known properly as Paschaltide, which includes three parts: the season of Easter, Ascensiontide, and the octave of Pentecost?

In other words, if we want to, the party could keep going all the way til June 3!

Come Holy Spirit, Come!

Pentecost Octave blessings to you and yours! Is 'living life in full color' cool or what!

5 Special Ways to Celebrate Memorial Day As Catholics

There is no greater love than to lay down one's life for a friend. As we remember our service men and women who gave all for us at the ultimate price of their own lives for our freedom, let us take pause to celebrate this weekend in ways that give them due honor in gratitude for their sacrifice and the suffering their loved ones endured as a result. Some ways include:

Learn about our military diocese and pray for their efforts providing spiritual support to our service men and women. https://www.milarch.org/. Did you know their Bishop was once quoted as saying the military is a huge source of vocations to the Priesthood? Click here for that article

In honor of our fallen, let us not forget their team mates that many of them died trying to help and save, those men and women who may have come back physically alive, yet seriously wounded not only physically but sometimes invisibly inside as if a piece of their lives was left behind in the battlefield due to traumatic experiences while serving our country. Many of these heroes far from living a hero's life are homeless, battling depression or suicidal thoughts and more. Rather than let them suffer due to the effects of their sacrifices for us, let us learn more and explore ways to give a little back by supporting them in their hour of need. Some support organizations include Mission 22, Wounded Warrior Project, NCPD and more

Check out NCPD which helps with a number of important pastoral topics, including our supporting these brothers and sisters. Click here for those specific resources & learn more about all they do
