As the leaves change color and the morning air becomes crisp, we invite you to celebrate fall with a Pumpkin Painting Event during our coffee hour.

Dia de los Muertos

On Saturday November 2nd at 4 pm, with a movie at 6:30 pm, Christ Church is planning a Day of the Dead or Dia de Los Muertos Festival.


Discover the exciting activities we have planned for the whole family:

  • Face painting, sugar skull decorating & coloring activities available for the whole family.
  • Drive-in movie beginning at 6:30 p.m. Come and watch Coco, a film that explores the Mexican tradition of Day of the Dead or Dia de los Muertos.
  • Eat delicious food. Tacos and Quesadillas are available for purchase.

To watch the movie you can sit in your car, sit at a table or sit on your own blanket.

Voices in the Valley Speaker Series features

 Barbara Creed

"Will the Court Come to Order?"


 In her program Barbara will:


• Discuss important trends on the United States Supreme Court

• Review significant decisions of the last Court term

• Preview major cases the Court will decide in its current term

Barbara graduated with honors from Wellesley College and magna cum laude from Boston University School of Law. She practiced law in San Francisco for over 40 years and was named to the Best Lawyers in America and California Superlawyers list. She has been giving these programs on the Court for over 10 years.


Bring a bag lunch for informal Q&A over lunch after the talk. Cookies and drinks will be provided.

Women's Spirituality Group

Cut and knot blankets for LifeMoves after church today.


Thank you to all who have worked on making these warm covers for unhoused children.


On Saturday November 9th from 10:30 to 12:30 in the Christ Church Parish Hall we will have a blanket making extravaganza so sharpen your scissors and invite friends.

Thank you to all who helped with Rise Against Hunger. Over 15,000 food parcels were sent to the Philippines. Hurrah!

Come to a celebratory Malawian dinner for Gaia Global Health on Wednesday November 13th at 6:00 pm ($15) in the parish hall.

Raising Funds for Malawi Health Care Supplies: We plan to provide 4 months of health care test kits and medical supplies ($2800) for one of seven mobile medical clinics combating AIDS, malaria and more. Signup at  Medical Supplies for GAIA Mobile Clinic in Malawi  or just drop money in the basket in the Narthex or mark your check for Gaia in the offering plate. Bring Hotel-Sized Toiletries for the Veterans' Hoptel, a Life Moves shelter in East Palo Alto. Hoptel provides 1 to 3 nights of shelter, along with case management and transportation, to low ­income veterans from out­ of­ town visiting the local VA hospital. Leave the toiletries in the green marked box in the church breezeway.
