ABOUT MIXED MAGIC THEATRE EXULT CHOIR
Founded in Pawtucket, RI in 2006 by Mixed Magic Theatre Cofounder, Ricardo Pitts-Wiley,
The Exult Choir was formed to preserve and celebrate the great African American tradition
of gospel music and the luminaries – many of whom were trailblazers in African American
history and had an extraordinary impact on music, the human and civil rights movements, and
world cultures . From its inception and through in perpetuity the Mixed Magic Theatre
annual Greatness of Gospel Concert , now in its 17 th year , continues to pay special tribute to
Rhode Island gospel legends Sister Barbara Bryant and the late Annye Raye Pitts.
Under the direction of the multi- talented Kim Morrison Pitts-Wiley, The Exult Choir has
evolved into a major force in the Rhode Island arts community and New England. Since
its inception the Choir has presented four major concerts a year at Mixed Magic Theatre, as
well as fulfilling numerous community and corporate engagements. The Choir features an
exciting repertoire of music that in addition to gospel includes classic, blues, soul, R&B, world
music, contemporary and pop. Mixed Magic Theatre and The Exult Choir has garnered notable
