Weekly Prayer

praise_the_lord.jpg

Now is the time,

To climb up the mountain

And reason against habit,

Now is the time.

Now is the time,

to renew the barren soil of nature

Ruined by the winds of tyranny,

Now is the time.

Now is the time,

To commence the litany of hope,

Now is the time.

Now is the time,

To disentangle vilification

That afflicts the planet of humanity apart,

Now is the time....

Faithful Reflections

(Ms. Taisha Thompson Office Administrator and Community Care Coordinator)

In the spirit of unity and togetherness, let us reflect upon the words of Ephesians 4:3 - "Make every effort to keep the unity of the Spirit through the bond of peace." This powerful verse reminds us of the importance of coming together as one body, regardless of our differences, in the name of peace and love. Just as each part of the body has a unique function but works together harmoniously, so too should we strive to maintain harmony and understanding within our church community. Let us embrace our diversity and celebrate our unity, for it is through our bond of peace that we truly reflect the light of the divine.

The upcoming Women's Bible Study Book will be available for purchase for only $15 each. This is an incredible opportunity to deepen your faith and connect with other women in our community. We encourage you to take advantage of this offer and grab your copy this weekend.

The books will also be made available for purchase in the church office during the week. Don't miss out on this resource for your spiritual growth and development. We look forward to seeing you at the Women's Bible Study!

March 11 and 25, 2024

The Narragansett Nation, a two-part lecture series, free and open to the public.

Sponsored by the UUCSC Antiracism Group 7:00-8:30  UUCSC Sanctuary

Part I "Traditions and Lifeways"

Part II "Survivance of the Narragansett in RI"

Your copy should address 3 key questions: Who am I writing for (audience)? Why should they care (benefit)? What do I want them to do (call-to-action)?

Create a great offer by adding words like "free," "personalized," "complimentary," or "customized." A sense of urgency often helps readers take action, so consider inserting phrases like "for a limited time only" or "only 7 remaining!"

Family and Friends Summer Camp Registration

We want to encourage as many as possible to register for this week and attend together as a church. Scholarships are available from CCOP. Families stay together in retreat style or camping style accommodations, based on your preference, and all lodging and meals are included. It is a flexible camp week. We are free to join in any of the available activities like canoeing, swimming, and worship, or do our "own thing."

Spots tend to fill up in March, so if you are interested, please register as soon as possible. For scholarship information, email Pastor Sarah at [email protected].

We invite you to join us for a special Maundy Thursday service on March 28th at 6pm. This is a time for reflection and remembrance as we approach the Easter weekend. During the service, we will reflect on the Last Supper and Jesus' sacrifice for us. It's a meaningful and spiritual experience that you won't want to miss. We look forward to seeing you there and sharing this important time together.
