Weekly Prayer

We Are of a Tribe

We plant seeds in the ground

And dreams in the sky,

Hoping that, someday, the roots of one

Will meet the upstretched limbs of the other.

It has not happened yet.

We share the sky, all of us, the whole world:

Together, we are a tribe of eyes that look upward,

Even as we stand on uncertain ground.

The earth beneath us moves, quiet and wild,

Its boundaries shifting, its muscles wavering.

The dream of sky is indifferent to all this,

Impervious to borders, fences, reservations.

The sky is our common home, the place we all live.

There we are in the world together.

The dream of sky requires no passport.

Blue will not be fenced. Blue will not be a crime.

Look up. Stay awhile. Let your breathing slow.

Know that you always have a home here.

Faithful Reflections

(Ms. Taisha Thompson Office Administrator and Community Care Coordinator)

Luke 6:38 -Give, and it will be given to you. A good measure, pressed down, shaken together, running over, will be put into your lap, for the measure you give will be the measure you get back.

In Luke 6:38, Jesus teaches about the intertwined nature of generosity and faith. By giving generously, we not only bless others but also demonstrate our trust in God's provision. Our act of giving reflects our hearts and deepens our faith, showing obedience and worship to God as the ultimate provider.

Through generosity, we participate in God's kingdom work, spreading love, joy, and hope. As we give sacrificially, we trust in God's abundance and His promise of overflowing blessings. This practice transforms us, shifting our mindset from scarcity to abundance and deepening our relationship with God.

Let us be inspired by Luke 6:38 to live lives marked by generosity, faith, and love, knowing that in giving, we receive God's immeasurable grace and blessings

The upcoming Women's Bible Study Book will be available for purchase for only $15 each. This is an incredible opportunity to deepen your faith and connect with other women in our community. We encourage you to take advantage of this offer and grab your copy this weekend.

The books will also be made available for purchase in the church office during the week. Don't miss out on this resource for your spiritual growth and development. We look forward to seeing you at the Women's Bible Study!
