Our Summer Camp is filling up fast! Did you know many kids come back year after year because they have such a good time? Maybe your children would like to experience the fun of art camp. Lots of outdoor activities as well as creative time, drawing, painting and maybe even acting.

En Plein Air Painting with Marissa Sweet

This workshop will help you get a good understanding of what to expect when painting outdoors. This class is designed for those who want to stretch their learning curve, paint with the elements, and want to experience an impressionistic approach to their painting. Students will get a general sense of painting fast, make quick decisions and adjust to their environment.

Neurographic Art with Emoke Wilson

June 9 – 23, 2023

Fridays, 6:00 – 9:00 pm

3 week session

Neurographic Art starts with simple, freeform lines. It is de-stressing, meditative, calming, intuitive. The creative moves from basic algorithmic steps to colouring, patterning and recognizable images. Results in a unique and personal piece of abstract art.

A Gift of Art’s Book Club is back!

A Gift of Art is offering a free book club that will be meeting alternating Wednesdays from 11:00 – 12:00 in our main studio starting September 14, 2022. All books are provided through the gallery. Please contact us at [email protected] or 905-987-2264 to register for your books.

Join us! We’ll have coffee and tea on tap for a special Speakers Series for Seniors. Everything you need, including reference material, on topics of interest to seniors like aging in place, avoiding scams, wills and power-of-attorney, and more.

The Series runs in-studio and online Wednesdays from 2:00 – 3:00 pm, April 19 to June 28 at A Gift of Art, 187 King St. E. in Newcastle. All are welcome and there is no cost to attend but you must register by calling the Gallery at 905-987-2264.

June 7th a retired nurse with be providing valuable information to help us age in place and in comfort.
