It’s finally here! On Sunday, June 13th, Joy Reigns will once again open its doors to welcome all for in-person worship. You will now have three worship options for the summer:

 *  Digital Worship on YouTube at 9:00am, or
 *  Watch Party at the Kaye home (3429 Hazelwood Road, Edgewater) at 9:00am, or
 *  (drum roll, please!) In-Person in the worship space at Joy Reigns (35 Mayo Road, Edgewater) at 10:30am.

Here is what you can expect for in person worship:

 * You will be asked to wear a mask out of concern for the safety of those who have not yet been vaccinated, especially the children who are not yet eligible.
 * You will be asked to sign in to assist with contact tracing, if it should become necessary.
 * Rows of chairs will be spaced out and you or you and your family will be asked to self regulate social distancing.
 * You will be able to participate with spoken parts such as the Apostle's Creed and Lord’s Prayer.
 * Communion servers will come to you at your seat.
 * The nursery, prayground, and hospitality snacks will not be available yet, but will be added when it is safe to do so.
 * A smaller version of the band will lead worship. Because they are all fully vaccinated, and because they will be socially distanced from the rest of the gathering, they will sing as an ensemble. The band will wear masks anytime they are not singing.
 * In accordance with ELCA and CDC recommendations on singing, the congregation will be asked to refrain from singing until 75% of Anne Arundel County is vaccinated, which we anticipate will happen on or near July 4th. Dancing and clapping is welcome!

The Worship Team is grateful for your support and patience over the past year that we have been physically apart. Know that we are continually re-evaluating guidelines and will work toward offering the best possible safe worship experience that we can. Please continue to pray for God’s guidance and give thanks that we can again physically be together!
