Come Unto ME!!! 7/6/25

An OLD song performed by the ANCIENT Rod Stewart declared an honest truth:
“I wish that I knew what I know now
When I was younger
I wish that I knew what I know now
When I was stronger.”
Can we oldies confess as honestly, AMEN!!??
I, too often, hear way too much “discussion” on Christian “doctrine/aka beliefs.”
TOO MANY “preachers” ALL proclaiming that THEY, and THEY ALONE have finally discovered the mysteries found in our Bibles!!! After centuries of Biblical discourse THEY now have a more perfect understanding of God.........................................
This is NOT a new phenomenon!!! The Apostle Paul encountered this division also:
Galatians 1:6–10 (KJV 1900)
6I marvel that ye are so soon removed from him that called you into the grace of Christ unto another gospel:
7Which is not another; but there be some that trouble you, and would pervert the gospel of Christ.
8But though we, or an angel from heaven, preach any other gospel unto you than that which we have preached unto you, let him be accursed.
9As we said before, so say I now again, If any man preach any other gospel unto you than that ye have received, let him be accursed.
10For do I now persuade men, or God? or do I seek to please men? for if I yet pleased men, I should not be the servant of Christ.
Fondly and sadly I must use myself as the example today.
How well do I remember my own SALVATION!!!!
I was a 20 year old Hippie with little to none knowledge of God, religion, Church, and especially Jesus. I was NOT raised in Church and IN FACT did not know or think that Jesus was lost-I had NONE desire to “FIND” Jesus!!!!!
ZERO INTERESTI N GOD OR CHURCH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! NADA!! NO!!!!!!!
I have no idea the WHY I agreed to attend a small Bible/PRAYER meeting in Pine Lake, GA..............................
AND, after attending that same Bible/PRAYER MEETING, still, to this day, cannot even begin to remember a single word or Scripture, or song sung that night- NADA!!!
I DO, however, VIVIDLY recall MEETING Jesus-JESUS SAVED ME THAT VERY NIGHT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Beloved, that was 54 years ago!
In short, I received Jesus Christ into my heart by simple FAITH:
Ephesians 2:8–10 (KJV 1900)
8For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God:
9Not of works, lest any man should boast.
10For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus unto good works, which God hath before ordained that we should walk in them.
It was NOT Church doctrine or denomination that SAVED me!!!! I MET JESUS!!!!
AND I started reading my BIBLE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
For the next MANY years I rose up before dawn and READ my Bible!!!!!!!!
I carried a small New Testament proudly in my front shirt pocket and READ my Bible every chance I got!!!!!!!!!!
I challenged myself to MEMORIZE whole Chapters of the Word of God.
BUT, sadly, like too many of us, WE forget where we came from.............
PERHAPS, WE should change ole Rod's lyrics to this:
“I wish that I DID now what I DID then
When I was younger
I wish that I DID now what I DID then now
When I was stronger.”
TODAY, dear reader, perhaps it is time to get off of YouTube and Face Book and start READING our Bibles........................
Before READING your BIBLE, PRAY this PRAYER:

18Open thou mine eyes, That I may behold wondrous things out of thy law.
SEEK JESUS-SEEK HIM-SEEK TO HEAR AND SEE JESUS!!!!

38He that believeth on me, as the scripture hath said, out of his belly shall flow rivers of living water.
HEAR what Jesus is declaring:
“LET HIM....................... COME UNTO ME!!!!!” Not some preacher or teaching or YouTube video!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
COME UNTO ME-JESUS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
AGAIN, JESUS SAID “COME UNTO ME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! NOT any preacher or teacher or video reel!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Matthew 11:28–30 (KJV 1900)
28Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.

9Take my yoke upon you, and learn of me; for I am meek and lowly in heart: and ye shall find rest unto your souls.
30For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light.
In short, in closing today, my message is simple.
IF YOU want/NEED to “find” Jesus today go straight to the SOURCE!!! YOUR BIBLE AND PRAYER!!!!!
James 1:5 (KJV 1900)
5If any of you lack wisdom, let him ask of God, that giveth to all men liberally, and upbraideth not; and it shall be given him.
He, JESUS CHRIST-NOT I, or any other person is THE ANSWER.............................
SEEK JESUS TODAY!!!!
