Dear Tennessee Senior Olympics Volunteer:
We are very excited to be partnering with HandsOn Nashville (HON) again this year to help fill volunteer shifts. This is our 8th year for this partnership. We encourage you to register as early as possible - especially if you have a favorite shift or two.
You are receiving this email because you have volunteered in the past or have expressed interest in being a Tennessee Senior Olympics volunteer.
We are expecting around 1,200 athletes. With that being said, we simply cannot run this event without your help. Even if you have never volunteered before or attended our event you can help.
Please go to this link:
and complete the online registration form. Please continue to periodically check the link as new shifts may become available as needs arise. You will receive an email instantly with a schedule of your shifts. Please retain this email as confirmation of your registration.
Here is a little more information about our event:
-
WHEN: June 24 - June 30, 2022 - Williamson County, TN
-
WHAT: The Tennessee Senior Olympics is an Olympics-style sporting event comprised of 20 different sports for individuals aged 50 and older. Approximately 1,200 senior athletes from across Tennessee converge upon Williamson county in June to compete in the annual State Finals.
-
HOW: Many volunteers are needed to keep score, check-in participants, present awards, keep time, and help in general with the administration of this large sporting event. Whether you are experienced or not, there is a place for you. You will find that volunteering for the Tennessee Senior Olympics is a truly rewarding experience.
-
CORPORATE and PRIVATE GROUPS: Volunteering is a wonderful way to promote team building within a company, school, athletic teams, churches, youth groups, etc.
-
NEED COMMUNITY SERVICE HOURS? Our event is for you. With a long list of volunteer opportunities, you are sure to find something that will fit your schedule.
Please select ONLY the shifts you are willing and able to work.
Feel free to forward this email to anyone you feel will enjoy volunteering for this event. This is a wonderful opportunity for high school students to earn service hours for college.
Thanks so much for your consideration again this year.
