Hello Friends,

As February unfolds, the echoes of Christmas and New Year's festivities linger in our memories, while the promise of a new season beckons. This juncture invites us to pause and reflect, standing at the threshold between what was and what lies ahead.

Similarly, the liturgical rhythm of the Sundays after Epiphany also seems like an in-between time. In the Gospel according to Mark, we follow Jesus’ baptism, time in the wilderness, and the gathering of Jesus’ disciples. We sense the narrative of immediacy: now and what's next. We are invited to follow Jesus and ‘Come and See.’

In the realm of outdoor ministry, the urgency to transition from the echoes of 2023 to the possibilities of 2024 is palpable. January witnessed the success of events and retreats at each of our sites, while also booking registrations for the summer camp; another now and what's next season.

I'm thrilled to shine a spotlight on Camp Daycholah, our revamped five weeks of summer programming at Daycholah Center. The innovative sessions and scheduling promise an exhilarating approach to youth camp. We encourage all guests to learn more about and utilize the new financial assistance options that a generous donor-advised gift has paved the way for.

At Moon Beach, some Family Camp weeks are already at capacity, but there are still openings in three of the weeks. Cedar Valley boasts a rich array of art workshops and personal stays at the Hundred Acre Haven apartment.

We are blessed to have three sacred sites offering diverse experiences, from the serenity of the north woods to the beauty of Daycholah (Green Lake) and the charm of llamas and Scottish sheep. The invitation is clear: 'Come and See.'

Recently, I had the pleasure of sharing a Camp Sunday experience with a local church partner. As we eagerly anticipate the unfolding season, stay tuned for valuable resources tailored to your local setting and the opportunity to request a visit from our staff. We are enthusiastic about being present with you, sharing the excitement of what's new, and extending a personal invitation to join us on this journey to 'Come and See.'

In essence, 'Come and See' invites you to not merely observe from a distance but to actively participate in the unfolding narrative of discovery and connection. It's an invitation to engage, experience, and be a part of the vibrant community and transformative moments that await.

May your month be filled with blessings,

Jim
