Greetings!
First of all, I would like to thank everyone who came to our Jingle All the Way concerts in December. Many performing arts groups are presently experiencing no growth or even a decline in the size of their audiences. We were thrilled to see a marked increase in attendance. Thank you all very much for showing your support of NCMC.
As we were compiling the data from our door prize slips, there were two that caught our attention. The first was filled out by a couple who were from out of state. When asked how they heard about the concert, they stated they could see the Maltz from their hotel and googled to see if anything was being presented Saturday evening and bought tickets to the concert. They loved the show and we were happy they were able to enjoy another aspect of Cleveland culture while they were here.
The other comment on a door prize slip was a bit more personal. It was written by a gay couple who live in a small town in Ohio. They wrote, “You are just about our only contact with other gay people- especially musical ones”. This made me think that we can never take for granted what we are providing to our audiences. Not only do we present an evening of musical entertainment, but also a place where everyone is welcome and accepted.

NCMC Auditions/Voice Placements |
The North Coast Men's Chorus is holding voice placements for new members on Sunday, January 8th and 15th, 2023. Auditions begin at 6:00 with the full rehearsal at 7:00. You do not need to prepare a song --you will meet with Artistic Director, Richard Cole, for vocal placement by singing some scales so he can determine where your voice can best be used.
The North Coast Men’s Chorus is open to men, whether gay, bi, or straight, whether cis- or transgender, and to non-binary singers who can sing in the appropriate range for a TTBB chorus.
Rehearsals are held on Sunday evenings at the Middleburg Heights Community United Church of Christ from 6:30 - 9:30 PM. Our remaining concerts of our 35th season are ABBApolooza and Disney Pride.

Disney Pride in Concert
The magic of Disney is coming to Cleveland reimagined by the North Coast Men’s Chorus for Disney PRIDE in Concert, a multimedia musical celebration of LGBTQ life, love, family, and perseverance! This first-of-its-kind, family friendly show will draw inspiration from iconic Disney films like The Little Mermaid, The Lion King, and Mary Poppins; modern classics like Coco, Zootopia, and Wreck-It Ralph; and the immersive music of Disney Theme Parks. The multimedia spectacular will feature NCMC performing enchanting new musical arrangements all accompanied by animation from Disney and Pixar films. Using our mission and vision as a guide, personal stories from an array of chorus members showcase the individual meaning and connections drawn from Disney’s timeless and universal music for all people!
