THE 2018 RURAL ASSEMBLY HURRICANE RECOVERY PRE-CONFERENCE
In response to Hurricane Florence, we are offering a special pre-conference prior to the start of this year's Rural Assembly. The NC Rural Center, in partnership with the NC Inclusive Disaster Recovery initiative, will host the Community Allies for Disaster Recovery pre-conferencefrom 8:30am-1:15pm on Thursday, November 15.
The conference will bring local, grassroots, and municipal leaders together with key agency leads to build partnerships and plan for a robust and responsive long-term recovery in North Carolina.

Scholarships are available to pre-conference attendees (based on need) to cover registration for the full two-day Rural Assembly. Governor Cooper will follow the pre-conference with opening remarks on disaster recovery and rural community resiliency for the Rural Assembly.
