A lifelong champion of acceptance and inclusion, Carl Erskine had an immeasurable impact on the Special Olympics movement. Now, you can experience his inspiring story in West Lafayette, at the Cordova Recreational Sports Center on March, 30.

Join Special Olympics Indiana for "The Best We've Got," A Night of Inspiration Featuring "The Carl Erskine Story" for the VIP Reception and Program starting at 6:00 p.m. Seating for our VIP Guests will be at 7:00 p.m. in the Feature Gym priority seating area.

"The Best We've Got" takes a deep dive into Carl’s life, starting with his upbringing in Anderson and highlighting his Major League Baseball career. Playing for the Brooklyn Dodgers, Carl was a teammate and friend of Jackie Robinson, the first Black player in Major League Baseball. Off the field, Carl became the father to a son with Down syndrome, which led to his connection with Special Olympics.
