An Evening of Promise!
Join us on October 24th for an evening of fun, food and fellowship!

With a new format, including an open bar, valet parking and tricky tray, come hear a graduate of our shelter program share her story and journey through homelessness and how she persevered to independence, along with a performance from another young graduate!

A Community Impact Award, sponsored by Greenberg Traurig, LLP, will be presented to Morris County Sheriff James M. Gannon for all his support and dedication!

Upon arriving, check out the Navigating Hope and Hope One vans that will be on site!

Click on the invitation to the left to register for the dinner. We can't wait to see you there!
Jessica & Ricky Arrive Home!

Recent graduates, Jessica and Ricky, had a lot of fun and excitement moving into their new home after being in Family Promise's emergency shelter program! The young couple had tried other measures to overcome their situation of homelessness, but only reached success through the encouragement and support of many volunteers and through their own strength and determination.

Because of your generous donations and the volunteer efforts of our Making Moves Matter team, Jessica and Ricky were welcomed into a move-in ready home!

We wish them great success and many wonderful memories in their new life of independence!
Meet the People of Family Promise Morris County

Congregation Coordinator,
a newly created role at FP
Name : Nora Godown

Hometown : Chester

How did you get involved with FPMC? I began as a volunteer with my church when they hosted the emergency shelter guests. Then, while obtaining a degree in psychology, I completed an internship with Family Promise.

What do you like most about working with Family Promise? I especially enjoy connecting and working with the congregations that are the pulse of our agency.

How would your friends describe you? Kind, easygoing, hard-working

Favorite pastime: I love to run! I have been running for about 10 years and on October 27 I will run the Marine Corps Marathon to raise funds for Family Promise. While I endure the challenges that running a marathon entails, I will be thinking about the challenges that our guests endure while in a situation of homelessness.

If interested in supporting me while I support those in need, please call Family Promise at 973-998-0820, ext. 110 or click on my picture. Any donation is greatly appreciated!
Silver Tea!

Residents of the Greenbriar at Fox Ridge community hosted a traditional Silver Tea to benefit individuals and families struggling with homelessness. Aloha, Family Promise graduate who is now with the Family Promise Speakers Bureau, was guest speaker, sharing her journey through homelessness with attendees.

Thank you to all who donated and provided support to our guests! Your generosity has made a substantial impact across all of our programs and will benefit many of our neighbors in need!
Partnering with Stago!

Thank you to Diagnostica Stago, Inc. for choosing Family Promise and the homeless population of Morris County for their first community service day! We shared a beautiful day planting flowers, raking leaves, organizing donations and assembling house warming gifts for our newly-housed guests.

We look forward to collaborating again on future projects!
A Spotless Job by United Healthcare!

A huge thank you to United Healthcare for assisting us with transporting furniture, organizing our donations and for cleaning our day center. Providing a clean space for our guests where they work hard with social workers on obtaining housing and creating a new path for their future is a respectful way of showing them that they matter and helps to restore their dignity.
A Big Thank You to Wyndham Hotels & Resorts!

Family Promise's day center was given lots of care and attention by Wyndham Hotels & Resorts. They worked hard cleaning up the outdoors by mowing and weeding, and even organized our garage and donation room!

It was a super fun day and we are grateful for everyone's efforts! Most importantly, our guests are enjoying the space!
Many Thanks to Massage Heights!

Massage Heights , Morristown, sponsored free outdoor yoga classes in honor of Family Promise's shelter and community support programs. Participants were also treated to chair massages and donations were collected to help support our guests.

It was a beautiful day and a great demonstration of how someone in crisis can alleviate stress!
Donations Galore from
Valley Bank!

A big thank you to Valley Bank for conducting a donation drive and for dedicating their Shred Day to Family Promise and to our guests in crisis.
