Portland solar installer, Power Northwest took home the top spot in the 2026 Solar Games competition at this year's Intersolar & Energy Storage conference. The annual event has become known as the "solar olympics" and featured 6 elite installation teams competing for the title of #1 solar installation crew in North America. Through a series of mock installation scenarios, judges evaluated the teams on installation quality, speed, safety and overall workmanship. After finishing 3rd in the 2025 competition, Power Northwest was invited back with the experience and motivation needed to improve on their previous performance. By the end of the competition, Power Northwest's team hadn't just achieved the top score in this year's event, but the best score in Solar Games history!

The win is not just a great accomplishment for Power Northwest but a sign of the strength of the solar industry in Oregon. By showcasing their craft on a national stage the Power Northwest crew demonstrated the incredible skill possessed by the installers and electricians who drive solar in Oregon.
