Share Your Creativity!
Get creative to benefit Habitat McLean and Recycling Furniture for Families. We're partnering on the coolest fundraiser of the year and you can be part of it!

Chairs 4 Change is a live auction of hand painted or decorated chairs. We're shouting out to local artists, families, kids, hobbyists, crafters - anyone who is willing to turn an old chair into a work of art.

We'll even give you the chair! Download the submission form and take it to either the ReStore (1402 W Washington, Blm) or Recycling Furniture for Families (515 N Center, Blm) to pick up a free chair.

Interested in a painting party? Email Linda Healy or call her at 309-827-3931 to set up a group painting experience. We'll provide the location and the chairs - you provide the paint/embellishment and supplies.

Every chair artist receives 2 free tickets to the Nov 6 event.
Thank you in advance for making this unique fundraiser a success!
Founders Open House - 3/5/20

Join us as we honor the founders of Habitat McLean with an Open House. Help us thank them for their vision, their compassion, and the hard work that got our affiliate up and running in 1985.

176 houses later, we are still building on their shoulders.

Lowe's Grant to Women Build

We're thrilled to announce our Women Build committee has received a $5,000 grant from Lowe's to help fund a new home for a McLean County family in need. We're also teaming up with Lowe’s to spotlight the need for safe and affordable housing through a home build during International Women Build Week, when approximately 6,000 women volunteers will unite in more than 235 communities in the United States, India and Canada from March 1-8. As a prelude to International Women’s Day , the global event aims to build and repair nearly 540 homes while raising awareness of housing issues facing women and their families.

Volunteers from our local Women Build committee and Bloomington Lowes will be hanging the siding for a home at 509 N Mason St in Bloomington. Women Build has partnered with Habitat to build several other homes in this neighborhood.

We have enough volunteers for March 1-8, but will be breaking ground on the next Women Build house in late April of early May. Find out more about Women Build here.
