Jesus Never Stops Praying for You

Hope for When the Storms Won’t End

It seems like lately, there have been a lot of storms, doesn’t it? Literal storms that have ravaged our landscaping and upended lives and entire communities. But we’ve also felt other kinds of turmoil, haven’t we? External conflicts, internal struggles, or just the quiet exhaustion of getting through the days—each one leaving its mark.

In times like these, it’s only natural to wonder, “Where is God?” We look at our unmet hopes, broken relationships, or children who have strayed from the path, and it’s easy to ask, “Why would God allow this?”

But there is a deeper truth. Scripture tells us that Jesus, our great High Priest, is always praying for us. Right now, even as you read this, He is standing before the throne, interceding on your behalf. He carries your pain, your questions, and your heartache directly to God.

This Sunday, we’ll explore what it would mean to face life’s storms with our eyes fixed on Him. Join us as we find strength in a Savior who doesn’t abandon us but who never stops praying for us. In His constant intercession, there is hope—even when the storms don’t end.

Hope Beyond Today - starting on November 14 at 5:30 p.m. in the FLC meeting room

PMC will be offering the fifth annual “Hope Beyond Today”, grief support group that Rev Perkins started.

The Hope Beyond Today program has been developed by those who have lost loved ones, and have navigated through the maze of hurt, sorrow, and heartache caused by grief. Like many of us, they have experienced deep emotional pain. Their thoughts of encouragement will enable others to find hope during their own personal journey.

Day 1 - we will issue study materials, and have introductions.  Weeks 2-7, we have about 30 minutes of discussions based on a 30 minute professional DVD TV presentation.

Facilitators are Shirley Sichelstiel and Rick Grisenthwaite. We will meet on 11/14, 11/21, 12/5, 12/12, 12/19, 1/9, 1/16, at 5:30 to 7 p.m.

This class will be $5 per person. Please click here to sign up.

Our Rise Against Hunger Food Boxes have gone to Zambia!

Zambia, a landlocked South African country, has a population of over 20 million people, where almost 55% of the population makes a living by working in agriculture. The World Food Program notes that due to El Nino weather conditions and sensitivity to rainfall, many regions of Zambia are considered hunger hot spots. The Global Hunger Index, which assesses food insecurity based on indicators that measure undernourishment and undernutrition, categorizes Zambia as having a “serious” level of hunger.
