YAC is going to Poland June 5-15, 2026!

Dear Fellow YACster:

Why did you sing at Yale?

·        Love of music?

·        Fellowship?

·        Celebration of Yale or something greater than ourselves?

Chances are, it was a combination—

Whatever the mix, we were all connected by that effort to blend our voices—to convey great passion, empathy, or humor. Singing at Yale united us in a tradition unlike any other.

Remember the power of song?

That extraordinary opportunity of our “four bright years” was most powerful when we shared this passion with strangers – people from different lands, cultures, or beliefs. Our passion reached across borders.

We drew listeners close to us by that same spirit of friendship and song that brings us together in the first place. Singing made us friends and celebrated the passions that unite us.

In today’s discordant, divided world, the Yale Alumni Chorus hopes to recapture the essence of this tradition. We invite YOU to rekindle that spirit by joining us as ambassadors of song—to travel abroad and share with others this great passion.

Join us June 5-15, 2026 for a concert tour of Poland, led by the Yale Glee Club’s own Dr. Jeffrey Douma. This inspiring, educational musical experience continues YAC’s near 30-year tradition of bringing together the Yale family of all singing stripes for fellowship, travel, and community enrichment.

What to Expect:

  • Concert performances in historic venues in Krakow and Warsaw
  • Work with Ukrainian refugees and local children’s choirs
  • A chance to reconnect with old friends and make new ones—across borders, generations, and singing parts

Help us enrich the cause of cultural diplomacy—something the world needs now more than ever—and uphold Yale’s long legacy as ambassadors of song.

Whether it’s been decades since you waved the handkerchief to “Bright College Years” or you’re still singing with a local group today, we‘d love for you to join us and share this great passion with others.

As the Glee Club’s legendary Barty said: “There is too much talking and not enough singing.”

Yours in Song,
