St Anthony Church Newsletter
Scott Whalen was just passing by during a storm this week and captured this amazing image. He sent it to us via Facebook
Our baggage has become our comfort and definition. We don’t experience what Jesus promised because we fear or doubt Him. But Jesus is patient as he is persistent. The invitation will always be there. Grace is always available to us. But we go on living our lives of quiet desperation, hoping for relief, lacking the gumption to grasp for it. Weighted down, we lose our balance often, blaming this person or that scenario. But just maybe, right before despair envelops us when faced with our mountains of impossibilities, we can ask Jesus, “I can’t anymore; you can; please do.”

Gathering: Gather Us In
Communion:  Taste and See
We have received some requests for the 11:15 Mass to continue to be live-streamed.
Father Gregory has agreed to do so for one more weekend. After which we will assess how many are watching and what the process is like to record during a regularly attended Mass as well as the obtrusiveness of the procedure.
Therefore St Anthony Church will broadcast on Facebook LIVE July 5th at 11:15 am .
The video of the Mass will be available on this page of our website after the Mass is complete.
Effective July 4th & 5th!
Mass Schedule:
   Saturday at 4:30 pm
Sunday at 7:30 am, 9:30 am and 11:15 am
Mon – Fri at 8:00 am
   First Friday at 12:15 pm
   * Adoration will follow all Friday Masses for 1 hour.
Confessions: Saturday at 3 pm
Guidelines:
  • In the church guidelines will be posted and directional arrows will be visible. Pews will be marked off to assist with social distancing.
  • Please bring a face mask to wear, as it is required as you enter, while inside and as you exit.
  • Hand sanitizer is currently available, please have your own as well.
  • We ask that you mark where you sit with a post-it-note, which will be available at the entrances.
  • Missalettes will be removed from the pews, if you would like to take one home and bring it back with you each time you come to Mass, you may do that.
  • Dispensation for Sunday Mass will continue until September 6, 2020 and it will remain even when the Sunday Mass resumes.
Collection Procedure:
  • One of the guidelines is that we cannot have the ushers passing the basket to receive your offertory envelopes.
  • Three collection boxes will be available inside the church and they will be emptied in the presence of 2 ushers, after every Mass, into a secure bag.
  • If there is a second collection, please put your donation for that collection into a separate envelope. If it is a plain envelope, please mark it with the specific collection that it is for.
  • If you put loose cash in the box, it will be recorded under the weekly offering. Thank you.
Communion Procedure:
  1. The line to receive will be single file down the center aisle.
  2. Please use the markers for distancing while on line. Families can stay together.
  3. Communicants will receive the consecrated host in their hand, step to the side, lower their mask, consume the host, replace their mask.
  4. Return to their pew down the outside aisle.
Volunteers Needed
As we begin Celebrating Sunday Mass together beginning the weekend of July 4/5, we are in need of volunteers to assist with cleaning of the church following each Mass. This will involve a simple spraying, wiping of door handles and removing post it notes from the pews. We will provide all the supplies, instruction and protection for you.
If you can help out at a Mass you regularly attend it will be greatly appreciated. Please contact David Byrne or Lisa in the parish center at 203-758-4056.
