Mothers Day!
May 12, Sticky Buns After Both Services
Celebrate and honor all the women in our lives – mothers, daughters, grandmothers, sisters, and all the women who’ve made a difference to you!
Fellowship and fun after both worship services with the famous sticky buns hand-made by our men's group – the Friars.
Also This Sunday — Undie Sunday
Bring Undie Donations To Church
We work regularly to support St Luke's Breakfast Program for the Homeless in Long Beach. They always need donations of underwear (the most requested, but least often donated items for homeless shelters). Please bring what you can to church this Sunday, and our volunteers will take them to St Luke's the fol-lowing Saturday. Mens' and womens' underwear in larger sizes preferred. Thank you!

Chichester Psalms by Leonard Bernstein, with additional works by: Stopford, Rutter, Courtney, Hagenberg, & Forrest. To understand the sentiment of this modern-classic work by Bernstein, consider this contemporary take on just a few verses from the Psalms:
“Why are the nations in an uproar?...”, Psalm 2; “See how good it is when we all live together in harmony as one...”, Psalm 133

Prayer Bead Workshop - Next Sunday, May 19th 11:30am, Parish Hall
Theologian Karl Barth wrote, "If we do not pray, we fail to realize that we are in the presence of God."
One of the ways in which we may encounter the Holy is through praying with prayer beads. Following our Lenten Session on Praying with Prayer Beads, many expressed an interest in making them. And so, you're invited to attend the Prayer Bead Workshop -- a time when we will gather in fellowship, make prayer beads together, and practice using them. RSVP to attend and to get a materials list by clicking here:  PRAYER BEAD RSVP. If you have any questions, or would prefer to receive materials information via email, contact Rev. Laurel.
