Greetings!
Founded several years ago by graduating senior Ethan K., the Club has creatively and tirelessly supported our work, and I am grateful to them. Please join me in thanking the club members and wishing Ethan well as he begins his studies at Cornell this fall.
I hope you'll support the Club's fundraiser and attend on June 16.
If you are at a distance, and would like to support the event, all proceeds from the fundraiser go to the Maasai Stoves & Solar Project.
I'll be giving a talk via Zoom in real time at 7:30 p.m.--right from the field in Tanzania (yes, it will be the middle of the night here) and I'll look forward to your comments and questions.
As always, thank you for your stellar support.
With deep appreciation,

Here are just a few of the fabulous auction and sale items

Thank you to our local businesses for so many terrific donations. Through their generosity, you can choose from a bountiful selection of auction and sale items. Here are just a few:
For very special bling, bid on Tanzanite earrings from Arusha, Tanzania, handmade Maasai jewelry (like the ones in the photo above) and a snazzy Looks Clothing necklace.
How about health and beauty options? Perhaps we can tempt you with club membership from Healthworks and Evolve, haircuts from Charlie’s Barbershop and Lulu’s Salon, and massages from Pyara Salon.
Or perhaps tasty treats are more your style. With selections from Iggy’s Bakery, Mrs. Bartley’s Burger Cottage, Summer Shack (its their lobsters in the photo), Thistle & Shamrock, and Black Sheep Bagel Café, you’ve got great foodie experiences in store.
Please come prepared with checks and cash or you can submit donations and payment online at the International Collaborative website The school cannot take credit card payments directly.

The School's club members put together this event from start to finish. Here are some of their ideas--in their own words
"I joined ISDC because I wanted to help build a community of environmentally aware and active students. I've loved working alongside the team, planning events and future projects. Education is the basis for all activism and positive change in the world. Education should be widespread and accessible everywhere and anywhere because this is the only way we can work towards a more sustainable world. "--Luna V.

"I joined ISDC so that I could make a change and impact people around the world. The 21st century is definitely one of many demands and changes, and I want to work towards ensuring these are done in the best possible manner.
Gender equality is definitely an SDG that I find critical to address. If the entirety of the world's population had equal opportunities, many of the additional SDGs would be easily accomplished." Nic V.

|
"I founded the ISDC because of my experience at another club that raised thousands of dollars for Maasai Stoves & Solar. I wanted to do this again, but on a larger scale at CRLS.
I have a fascination with sustainable transport since some of the most effective ways we could curb climate change are through urban public transport."--Ethan K
