Pastor Trudy's Message
We could all use an advocate! When I find myself part of medical care conversations on hospital visits, I try to reassure family members who are uncertain or afraid to ask too many questions that it is okay to be an advocate for their loved one. Asking questions, getting clarity, expressing frustration are all part of the process. Jesus promises us that the Father is sending an Advocate to us, an advocate who will help us remember what Jesus has told us and of the love He has for us. There are many ways the Advocate works, this week especially, we give thanks for our Sunday school volunteers!
Thank you Jesus, for sending an Advocate, the Holy Spirit who will accompany us in our faith, giving clarity, listening to our frustrations and challenging us to live faithfully. Thank you for all the people in our lives who reflect Your love and care.
