The music is a mix of standards, originals, and songs with lyrics by Segal-Garcia and music by Jobim, Metheny, Mon, Scofield, Mendoza and Ruiz.

Musician’s singer” Cathy Segal-Garcia is a vocalist of “real music integrity” poignantly reports Critical Jazz reviewer. Wherever she travels in the world, audiences and musicians are moved. Segal-Garcia’s deep connection to rhythm and her earthy and organic voice brings a nakedness to her communication, a direct line in to one’s heart. Her repertoire includes original compositions and modern interpretations of standards and jazz musicians’ compositions.


Recording her 15 albums and performing with jazz legends is part of her career heritage. A sampling of noted musicians she has collaborated with include Bennie Maupin, Ted Greene, Joe Diorio, Larry Koonse, Marc Johnson, Lorca Hart, Billy Childs, Marc Copland, John Beasley, Otmaro Ruiz, Anthony Wilson, Edwin Livingston, Joe LaBarbara and Josh Nelson. Legendary jazz drummer Peter Erskine, part of the trio on her “Song of The Heart” recording says, “[it’s] the freshest vocal project which I’ve ever been involved in, and it’s one of my favorites of the past year.”


Guitarist and singer Mitchell Long is an internationally acclaimed concert performer, veteran studio musician and confident band leader with four decades experience in the music industry.


A creative force in Jazz, Blues and other popular North American styles; Classic Rock, Pop, Folk, R&B and Soul, Long is also well known for his vast experience of multi-lingual singing and playing of Brazilian, Cape Verdean, Angolan and other world music traditions.


Recent credits include extensive touring or recording for jazz chanteuse Melody Gardot since 2012, recording with Herb Alpert, recording and touring with Waldemar Bastos and appearances with Carol Welsman and Keiko Matsui.

John Leftwich Composer/Bassist/Singer/Music Director John Leftwich has toured with numerous great musicians including Carmen McRae, Dizzy Gillespie, Freddie Hubbard, Sergio Mendez, and Lyle Lovett, and played in the movie “Let’s get Lost” with Chet Baker.


He also toured/tours and recorded with Rickie Lee Jones for many years as music director, singer and bassist. He’s been the MD on many projects, including for Melody Gardout, and he’s had a long standing spot in the band of the amazing flutist Hubert Laws. 


He continues to tour and record as well as composing music for TV and film. This consummate musician also owns a private recording studio and is a master engineer and mixer.

Chris Blöndal is a professional drummer, percussionist and educator based in Los Angeles, California. He is an active member of the Los Angeles music community working in many different genres.


He has performed and recorded with a wide variety of artists, including: The Brian Setzer Orchestra, Pete Christlieb, Chris Standring, Brad Rabuchin, Chris Colangelo, Larry Steen, Sandra Booker, Cathy Segal-Garcia, Christine Rosander, Dan Lutz, Katisse Buckingham, film composer/trumpeter Mark Isham, Karen Hernandez, The Soul of John Black, David Garfield, Bunk Gardner (Frank Zappa), 50’s rock and roll legends Bo Diddley, the Diamonds, the Coasters, Bobby Johnson (film composer), Rolf Kent (film composer), Billy Hulting, Ken Rosser, Rick Shaw, John Hatton, Rhapsody in Tap, Jim Quam Chamber group, Joe Rotundy, Tim Mesina, Tamir Hendleman… to name a few. 


As a studio artist, he has recorded on a variety of film scores and soundtracks for major motion pictures, including: Fight Club, Nurse Betty, Gun Shy, The Slums of Beverly Hills, Wild Wild West, and appeared recently in the opening credits for Monday Night Football with the Brian Setzer Orchestra, Hank Williams Jr., Peter Cetera, and Bootsy Collins.


At this time he's the creative director for the new music series in Eagle Rock at St. Bee's.
