Comedian, Actor, and Writer for SNL, Colin Jost, set to headline comedy fundraiser for Cancer Support Community Indiana
INDIANAPOLIS, IN (Thursday, March 3, 2022) –Cancer Support Community Indiana (CSC) will host its 22nd annual comedy fundraiser, Laughing Matters, on Saturday June 4th, at Clowes Memorial Hall on the campus of Butler University. Headlining this event will be award-winning comedian, actor and Saturday Night Live head writer, Colin Jost.
 
Laughing Matters has become one of the premiere fundraisers in the Indianapolis area. Funds raised during this event provide free support services for those impacted by cancer locally and throughout the state of Indiana.
 
Colin Jost serves as a head writer for “Saturday Night Live.” He started writing for “SNL” in 2005 and has been co-anchor of “Weekend Update” since 2014.

Jost co-hosted the special editions of “Weekend Update” that aired on MSNBC during the 2016 Republican and Democratic National Conventions as well as the primetime “Weekend Update Summer Edition” in 2017. In 2018, Jost and co-anchor Michael Che hosted the Primetime Emmy Awards. Additionally, Jost wrote and starred in the Paramount/Netflix film “Staten Island Summer,” based on his days as a lifeguard.
He has won five Writers Guild Awards, two Peabody Awards, and has been nominated for 12 Emmy Awards for his writing on “SNL.
 
During this event guests will enjoy a remarkable evening that includes a reception with complimentary cocktails, dinner, and a silent auction.
 
Presale tickets go on sale Monday, March 7, at 10am. Public tickets go on sale Friday, March 11, at 10:00am. Tickets can be purchased at butlerartscenter.org and ticketmaster.com.
