Hello Emmaus Family!

We hope and pray you had a wonderful Mother's Day weekend.

As many of you know, we had a WASC/NLSA accreditation visit this past year. As a school, we completed a self-study report and the visiting team came to meet with all the stakeholders of our school in February. The visiting committee wrote a report about our school and recommended an accreditation term status. We have officially heard from WASC that we have been accredited for 6 years with a mid-term visit in 3 years. We are very happy with the report and our action plan to improve our school in the years to come. Thank you to everyone who helped us through this accreditation process. What a success! Testing this Tuesday, May 10th

If you would like to have your student take a Covid-19 test this Tuesday remember to fill out the yellow form that goes home on Mondays.

Jogathon Results!

If you have not handed in your Jogathon envelope, please do so by TOMORROW, May 10th. We are close to our goal of $30,000, but we aren't there yet!

The top FUNDRAISERS of each class will be announced NEXT Friday at our Jogathon Prize assembly where students will get prizes, and IF we raised $30,000 the school will get to SLIME Mrs. Marousek!

Have you signed up for Summer School yet? We are excited to have some of our teachers leading the morning academics--Mrs. Blanco, Mrs. Sianez, Mrs. Carlstrom and Mrs. Marousek have already decided to teach this summer. Mrs. Rodriguez is doing a great job planning lots of fun afternoon activities for our students. You can sign up by the week! Its a great time to give your student some academic review & summer fun!

5th through 8th grade students had a great time at our Track Meet last Friday! Many of them got ribbons in running events and/or field events like Shotput, Long Jump, and Junior Javelin. Way to go Comets!

This Friday, May 13th is $1 Dress Day! Students can wear casual dress if they donate $1 to our student government fund!

All School Variety Show

Thursday, May 19th at 6:30 p.m.

Mark your calendars! You do not want to miss our annual Variety Show on May 19th at 6:30 p.m. Each grade will present a special song or skit and it's always so much fun to see all our students on stage!

Classes are Filling Up!

We are so excited to see more and more families interested in our school. Thank you to all those that have referred your friends and family. If you have not re-enrolled for next year, please fill out the form sent home today. We want to make sure to save seats for our returning students before filling them with new families.

Get $500 off Next Year's Tuition!

Refer a friend to Emmaus and you could get $500 off of tuition next year. The student must be enrolled in K-8 for the 2022-2023 school year, and you will receive $500 off of your May 2023 tuition! Spread the word!

MAP Testing

Students are all taking their final MAP growth assessment. These results will be sent to you with their final report card. This data helps us to see how students are progressing through the year and areas of strength and growth.

It is affirming to see that most of our students are achieving higher than the national norm. We are proud to see our students learning and growing each year!

May 22nd at 9:00 a.m.

We hope to see all our students on May 22nd to sing at our 8th grade Blessing Service. We will thank God for the blessings he has given to ALL our students and their families this year and ask for a special blessing as we send off our 8th graders to their various high schools. We will have worship dancers, handbell choirs, and singing!

Graduation June 1st at 4:00 p.m.

Our amazing 8th graders will have their graduation ceremony on Wednesday, June 1st at 4:00 p.m. in the church sanctuary. This is a great service with speeches, songs, messages, and more. The students in grades 3-8 are invited to come and sing at the graduation. We hope you can make it!
