Comet Connection

Dear Emmaus Families,

As you have seen on the news, Hurricane Ian packed quite a punch in Florida, and in many areas with other Lutheran schools and churches like Emmaus. I would respectfully request that you participate in our special chapel offering this Wednesday for our friends in Lutheran schools in that area. Instead of money, you might also consider donating gift cards to places like Lowes, Home Depot, Walmart and national chain restaurants.

All disaster response donations will go directly to schools and congregations for cleanup efforts such as roof repair, tree removal, water damage mitigation, fencing and other supply needs. Gift cards will be distributed to staff and families.

Please continue to pray for these schools, churches, students, and families. It is such a blessing to be part of a Christian community that loves and takes care of each other. Please continue to pray that the love of Jesus shines brightly through the response to this disaster. This is an opportunity to put love into action as we help and support those impacted by the storm!

If you have any questions, please let me know. Thank you in advance for your support and prayers!

Thank you to Pastor Kaye for his message last week on the Parable of the Lost Coin, reminding us that Jesus continues to seek us and wants to be in relationship with us–and rejoices when we respond! Parents are always welcome to join us for chapel on Wednesday at 8:30.

Please be sure to check out all of the information below–there is quite a bit!

God’s blessings on your week as we Soar with love and care for others!
