Science Library Conservation is Underway!  
  
Pillow anchors and other structural improvements are being made to the several parts of the building.

The outside of the building also has freshly painted trim, windows, and sash and the exterior stucco walls will be entirely repainted by Spring.

Native Tree Program 
Every 5th grade student on Nantucket received a native tree seedling and studied tree morphology!

MMA Goes to NASA  
The Maria Mitchell Association's Director of Astronomy Dr. Michael West will be one of a select few chosen to attend the first test launch of NASA's new Orion spacecraft!

FALCONRY: ON THE HUNT


When: November 22

The Maria Mitchell Association teams up with
Nantucket Hawking and Falconry
for an afternoon all about raptors!

See a live falcon up-close, hear about licensed Master Falconer Tom Muholland's experiences working with raptors, and then observe the hunt first hand.

Appropriate for ages 9 and up. Max. 20 participants.

Experience MMA's popular discovery camp during 
 these afterschool, science-based adventures.

November 17 - Sesachacha Pond

Camp will run from 2:20pm - 5:00pm

Dates for the program are every Monday
