Spring is here and it's the perfect time to get outside and visit local County and State parks! With your library card, you have access to 23 San Mateo County Parks and over 200 California State Parks. The parks you can visit include Fitzgerald Marine Reserve, Memorial Park, Mount Tamalpais, and Big Basin Redwoods (to name just a few!). Parks passes waive the vehicle entry fee, allowing you and a car of friends and family into the park at no additional charge. You can place a hold on a pass and have it sent to the library of your choice, or stop by a library with a pass currently available. Get started here
Did you know we also have Grab & Go Discovery Backpacks? These packs for kids are filled with handy items for outdoor adventures. Just ask staff to check one out the next time you are at the Downtown Library!
Last but not least, don't miss the 50 years of Wunderlich County Park Celebration on Saturday, April 13 from 10am-12:30pm. It will be a day filled with hiking, historic demonstrations, music and more, brought to you by our friends at San Mateo County Parks. Register here
