What can we, in Vermont, learn from Italian town planning?
Come hear planner Beth Humstone on October 16th at 5 pm at the Coach Barn at Shelburne Farms. Beth studied (twice) in Italy to understand the evolution of small Italian towns from the early Roman period up to the present.
In a free talk followed by wine (Italian, of course) and beer at a cash bar, Beth will share how Italian town planning from 200 B.C.E. to 2019 can shed light on Vermont settlement patterns and sprawl.
This talk will be held at the Coach Barn at Shelburne Farms and is co-hosted by Vermont Natural Resources Council and the Preservation Trust of Vermont. We hope to see you there!
