Security Enhancements for Online & Mobile Banking
We're committed to helping you keep your accounts and information safe. That's why we're adding enhanced multifactor authentication to our personal Online Banking & Mobile Banking platforms.
What Is Multifactor Authentication?
Multifactor authentication (MFA) is a layer of security designed to verify your identity and prevent unauthorized account access.

When you log into Online Banking or Mobile Banking, the new MFA security system will occasionally ask you to enter a short, one-time passcode that will be sent separately to your phone. Entering the passcode will complete the login process, and allow you to access your accounts and information.
Receiving MFA Passcodes
You can choose whether you'd like to receive your passcode by text message or phone call. You'll be able to update your contact numbers anytime on your Profile screen (Online Banking) or under the More menu (Mobile Banking).

What's Next
Early next month, you'll be asked to confirm your contact numbers and preferences when you log into Online Banking or Mobile Banking.

Once you do, the new MFA security system will be activated, and you will have an enhanced layer of fraud protection on your accounts.
We're confident you'll find the new MFA security system simple and easy to use. It's one more way Bank of Canton helps protect you from fraud.
