Dear Friends,
There are so many exciting happenings both near and far to share with you, our beloved Paulist Center community. Instead of disseminating this information separately, we have integrated three main pillars of information into a comprehensive campaign that will roll out over the next six weeks via an electronic missive like this one. These three pillars are:
1. The Pastoral Plan that this community has been working on for a year that directly impacts you and our community life;
2. The recent Paulist Fathers General Assembly plan entitled Charism, Spirituality, and Mission; identifying needs and priorities for the next four years
3. The annual Social Justice theme which is our yearly thematic filter from Catholic Social Teaching, which clarifies what we stand for.
OUR SHARED VISION:
As we introduce our new three-year Pastoral Plan alongside our national and theological priorities, we use a simple analogy of a house to understand how these three separate pieces fit together into a single, unified narrative for the Paulist Center community:
-
The Blueprint (The Assembly Report): This is who we are. It details our core Paulist identity and charism—how the Holy Spirit uniquely calls us to be a welcoming, reconciling, and missionary community.
-
The Construction Tools (The Pastoral Plan): This is how we build it. It is our local, actionable three-year roadmap for the Paulist Center community here in Boston.
-
The Structural Core (Rights & Responsibilities): This is what we stand for. It is our yearly thematic filter from Catholic Social Teaching, reminding us that human rights must be protected and communal duties met in every action we take.
By using this 6-week series, we connect our local goals directly to our wider Catholic and Paulist identity.
